The Center for International Law and Justice administers Project “Wealth, Poverty and Life Satisfaction in Transition Societies”, which is part of the Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching (ReSET) within the International Higher Education Support Program (HESP) of the Open Society Institute. The project goal is to help university teachers from FSU countries to develop and improve their courses concerned with the issues of social-economic policy and human development by incorporating into the curriculum the interdisciplinary and multicultural approaches, qualitative and quantitive methodology of life satisfaction and income inequality studies and new practically and research oriented teaching methods as well as to stimulate the dialogue between the teachers and researchers from different disciplines (law, economics, sociology, political science, anthropology), countries (post-Soviet and Western) and generations (young teachers and senior scholars). Project Period – June 2011 – May 2014. Host Institution – Odessa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov.
